Fitsol CBO Vikas Kalra Shares Insights on Green Hydrogen & EV Adoption
Fitsol’s Chief Business Officer, Vikas Kalra, joined an expert panel at the recently held Conference on Carbon Markets & Decarbonizing Industries. He shared his insights on the evolving landscape of green fuels and the hydrogen economy. During the discussion, he focused on how green hydrogen is emerging as a critical solution for decarbonizing heavy-duty and long-haul transport in India. He stressed the importance of building enabling infrastructure and clear policy frameworks to accelerate its adoption. The discussion also covered practical challenges in EV and LNG adoption for commercial vehicles. Australia Launches First Sustainable Finance Taxonomy
Australia has launched its first sustainable finance taxonomy. This offers a voluntary, science-based framework to guide green and transition finance across the economy. Developed by the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute (ASFI) with oversight from the Treasury and financial regulators, the taxonomy is aligned with the Paris Agreement and aims to direct capital toward credible, net-zero-aligned investments. It marks a major step in the Government’s Sustainable Finance Roadmap. “This release marks a transformative moment for Australia’s sustainable finance market,” ASFI CEO Kristy Graham was quoted as saying.

Global Carbon Pricing Hits $100 Billion in Revenue
Governments around the world are putting a price on carbon emissions and companies now have to pay for the pollution they create. The World Bank’s latest State and Trends of Carbon Pricing 2025 report reveals that global carbon pricing mechanisms generated over $100 billion in 2024, which is a record-breaking figure. With 80 carbon pricing instruments now active, over half the revenue is being funneled into environmental, infrastructure, and development projects, reinforcing carbon pricing as a strategic policy and financing tool. Besides this, compliance market demand nearly tripled, while emissions coverage rose to 28% of global greenhouse gas emissions, especially in the power and industrial sectors.

UN Global Compact Launches CMO Blueprint for Sustainable Growth at Cannes Lions
The United Nations Global Compact has introduced the CMO Blueprint for Sustainable Growth at the Cannes Lions Festival. This guide has been put in place to support Chief Marketing Officers build sustainability into business growth plans and brand strategies. “The CMO Blueprint for Sustainable Growth is both a call to action and a practical roadmap. It reflects the collective insight and ambition of marketing leaders around the world who are ready to lead businesses toward a more just, inclusive and resilient future,” UN Global Compact’s CEO and Executive Director Sanda Ojiambo was quoted as saying. The blueprint has three aims; to build a unified, principles-based framework for sustainable marketing, an industry benchmark to track progress and identify action gaps and a collaborative ecosystem of brands and partners reshaping marketing’s role in sustainability.
